Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen is known for our single-origin specialty coffees, artisan latte art and our locally sourced cuisine. Some even say Barnie’s baristas craft such beautiful and delectable coffees, each cup is like a little work of art.
So when National Coffee Day came around, we wanted to throw a gala as ornate as the frothy designs that garnish our lattes!
Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen partnered with Yelp to host an amazing National Coffee Day extravaganza inside the incomparable CityArts Factory in downtown Orlando. Here, Yelpers sipped on Barnie’s Coffees and dined on boundless farm-to-table hors d’oeuvres prepared by Executive Chef Camilo Velasco – all while immersed in some of the best local art the City Beautiful has to offer. Orlando-native DJ Nigel John helped Yelpers get into the groove and set the mood for a wonderful evening.
When you pair a local artisan coffee company with great local art, great things are bound to happen. Yelpers witnessed a live painting by local artists and my friend, Steven Mikel. Yelpers ohhed and ahhed as they watched him in action, because Steven isn’t your typical artist. He paints the most beautiful landscapes and portraits with – you guessed it – coffee! I have been a long-time fan of Steven’s incredible work. So much so, that his coffee paintings hang in our cafes.
This photo journal is a fabulous example of our Kitchenista’s desire for all things delightful. It was a celebration of artistry, quality and appreciation for community. Thanks to all of you who have made Barnie’s CoffeeKitjchen part of your everyday life. This year’s National Coffee Day was certainly a celebration of you.
Until next time,
