Hi! I’m Dana Marie Roquemore and I started The Dinner Party Project. Every week, I invite seven strangers to my home or secret location around town for a dinner party – chosen at random by a lottery system.
I know, it may seem a little strange to dine with complete strangers. But it’s a wonderful way to connect with new and interesting people in your own community. I invite a new Guest Chef each Dinner to prepare a custom menu for 8 people. We share laughs, thought provoking conversations and a delicious four course meal.
No two dinner parties are the same. But an important part of every dinner party is the cocktail that’s being served. I start every dinner party with a cocktail for my guests and it really sets the mood for the rest of the evening.
For tonight’s dinner, I am preparing the Dark Moon Coffee Cocktail, made with BREWSTICKS from Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen. The Dark Moon is a favorite on the West Coast and I’m so excited to serve it tonight.
No need to be an expert mixologist to impress your guests. This recipe is simple to make and it’s a crowd pleaser.
(Yields 8 servings)
1 ½ cups water
½ cup coffee liqueur
½ cup spiced rum
12 oz Coca Cola
½ cup heavy cream
Mix all ingredients in a pitcher and stir thoroughly. Pour the cocktail mixture into 8 rocks glasses. Serve on the rocks.
I love this cocktail recipe. If you’re in Orlando, you’ll have to sign up for a dinner so you can try this – or one of my other fabulous cocktails. If you’re not an Orlandoan, you must give this recipe a try and show your guests that you’re the hostess with the mostess!
Now I’m off to go get ready for tonight’s dinner party. Thanks for reading!
